Join us for a special screening of the award-winning film Kintsukuroi at the Lynwood Theater on Thursday, March 27, benefiting the construction of the new Visitor Center at the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial.

📅 **Event Details**
🗓️ Date: Thursday, March 27
🏢 Location: Lynwood Theater
⏰ Time: Screening at 6:30 PM, Q&A immediately following the film

✨ **What is Kintsukuroi?**
Kintsukuroi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, symbolizes the strength and beauty of resilience—an apt metaphor for the Japanese American experience during WWII.

📽️ *Kintsukuroi* follows the Ito family’s journey from their lives in San Francisco’s Japantown, through the concentration camps, to the battlefields of Europe during one of the most shameful periods in U.S. history.

🏆 *Kintsukuroi* has been screened at eight film festivals and named Best Feature Film at the 2025 Silicon Valley Asian American Pacific Filmfest.

🎙️ Filmmaker Kerwin Berk, a Sansei from Japantown, will attend for a Q&A after the screening!

This event is co-hosted by Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church, BIJAC, and BIJAEMA, with limited seating available. Don’t miss this incredible film and community gathering during the lead-up to our March 30th Commemoration!
