Understand the impact of Executive Order 9066\, which imprisoned thousands of innocent Japanese Americans during World War II. Emiko is an ordinary American teenager whose life is changed forever after Japan bombs Pearl Harbor. Emiko and every member of her family is forced to find a way to prove their loyalty to a country that sees them as “the face of the enemy. \nCommemorate the past and engage in post-performance conversation to explore our history with the Living Voices actor /educator. \nThis guest event brought to you by Living Voices and The Wing Luke Asian Museum \nTickets are donation-based\, with proceeds going to Living Voices and the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial.
